Questions
Does ConnectProve give me a score?
No. We do not score, rate or rank people. A recipient sees which specific facts were confirmed, by whom, and when. Nothing else.
What stops someone from verifying their own claim?
The confirmation link goes to a mailbox you name, and the recipient sees the domain it was answered from. A confirmation from an organisational address (e.g. @company.ie) is labelled “Verified by employer”; one from a personal address such as Gmail is labelled exactly that — “Confirmed by an individual using a personal email address” — and recipients can weigh it accordingly. You cannot send a request to your own address.
Does my employer need an account?
No. They receive one email with a secure, single-use link that expires after 14 days. Confirming takes about a minute.
What if my employer says something is wrong?
The claim shows as “Not confirmed” with their note. You can correct the details and ask again, or contest the result — it then shows “Under review” while we look at it. The original answer stays in the audit trail.
Do confirmations expire?
A past role is a historical fact, so it does not expire. A current role needs re-confirming after 12 months, because you may have moved on. References are valid for 24 months.
Do you do Garda vetting or criminal-record checks?
No. Garda vetting in Ireland can only be requested by registered organisations through the National Vetting Bureau for specific roles. ConnectProve does not offer it and never shows a “clean record” mark.
Can I delete everything?
Yes. Deleting your account removes your claims, requests, share links and history in one step, and every link you shared stops working immediately. You can export all of it first.
